Greens

Greens are Velvet Bent grass that average 6,000 square feet. More importantly, the greens are masterfully sized, shaped and angled to challenge your approach shots.

For example, the 394-yard, par 4, 6th hole is designed to be very receptive to incoming shots because many higher handicap players can reach the green in two. The green was then shaped with distinct cupping areas to challenge lower handicap players.

In contrast, the 176-yard, par 3, 16th hole has a small, severely contoured green that challenges tee shots from any tee box.

Please respect the golfers behind you and fix your ball mark and a few others. Thank you.

Tees

Multiple tee boxes are provided to accommodate golfers of all levels. The strategic placement of the tee boxes will help players of all handicaps enjoy their round.

Playing from different tee boxes on different days will require careful club selection and course management. Come back again and again to master your skills at Wentworth Hills.

Please use divot mix to repair the par three tee boxes. Thank you.

Bunkers

There are over 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout the golf course. Each bunker is designed with a specific challenge in mind.

Bunkers have been placed to encourage the better golfer to "go for it" while allowing others an alternate route. The overall plan will visually entice you and make you think your way around the golf course.

Bunkers should be entered and exited from the low side to prevent damage to the bunker face. Please respect the golfers behind you and rake all bunkers. Thank you.

Insert space above Water Hazards and replace text with:

You will face water hazards on holes 8 and 17, the twin par threes. A large lake shared by both holes will dare and challenge you either to go for the green or to play it safe. Safe means a much more difficult shot to save par.

The pond along the left side of the 3rd hole and yet another pond in front of the 7th green will also challenge you. Miss it in either of these places and you will need to pull out another ball!
